Karl Platform adds a layer to the Kubernetes infrastructure called the “Karl System.” Administrators can manage Karl Instances—virtual machines—by viewing, modifying, and monitoring their resources, boot order, and usage metrics. The platform supports managing pools of Karl Instances based on templates. Thanks to the system’s use of ephemeral persistent volume claims (PVCs) and shared storage, administrators can adjust the number of instances, modify their configurations, and manage resources more efficiently.
Storage for Karl Instances is handled via PVCs, which can be linked to images of operating systems like Windows or Linux. This storage management is integrated with cloud-based solutions, allowing seamless data persistence and backup/DR (Disaster Recovery) policies.
Users can access Karl Instances remotely via RDP or a browser. These instances are temporary, existing only for the duration of their use, and are automatically managed to ensure smooth operation and quick recovery from any errors.
